Why we have teamed up with UN Women Sweden this December
This December we have joined forces with UN Women Sweden and take part in the movement for gender equality and to fight violence against women. For every purchase we will donate €5 to UN Women Sweden.
UN Women is the organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. It was established to accelerate progress on meeting girls and women's need worldwide.
Worldwide, it is estimated that about one in three women, after the age of 15, experience physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner during their life-course.

One in three women! That number should be zero. We all know someone who has been a victim and yet many of us find it hard to talk about violence against women and maybe more so, knowing how to help.
This year it felt important to give back to our society. During times when countries went into lockdown and restricted movement to contain the spread of the virus, all forms of violence against women and girls, particularly domestic violence, have began to rise, according to UN Women. Domestic violence has nothing to do with income, race nor where you live.
This December we want to help speak up for these women who do not dare to speak up, or who doesn't know how to, because they have been scared and their freedom has been taken away. Dare to speak up now, for a friend, for a sister, for a mother, for yourself and for other women. Your story will help other women who may think her story is not worthy or who may not dare to speak up, or maybe even worse - who doesn't have the tools to do so. Violence against women has to stop. Now!
I hear so many inspiring stories of all sorts from our role models that we work together with. Many times it may seem like they have all had a pretty straight forward path. Our Role models, not models, are mothers, sisters, daughters and careerists who are part of our extensive design process when we develop new sportswear. These women all have a unique story, just like you and me. Never judge someone else journey. Nothing comes easy. We are certain that inspiring women are not determined by your look, your body, where you live, nor your career. But rather your unique story and who you have become. We believe every woman's story can inspire other women to move forward this December.
We need to begin to dare talking even more about, and educate ourselves even more about, what violence against women is, why it exists and how it can be prevented. Fighting gender inequality and violence against women should be everyone's business.
