The Seamless Design of Pebbles Pilates Jumpsuit BCYB 1.0

When you dive into new fields you want to team up with the best in the industry.

When I founded Pebbles Pilates I knew I was going to face a challenge when it came to the actual production. I probably made at least ten different designs and samples, before we went into production, of the BCYB Full Body Jumpsuit.

The name of our jumpsuit is very long. But I just loved it and it made sense at the time and it makes sense now. BCYB, stands for Be in Charge for Your Body, and was coming together just when Me Too was spreading like a whirlwind around the world. Equality is nothing new, we know that. Just like we know that strong women dates way back. However, it felt right to name the first piece inspired after something that so strongly symbolizes and unite women.

The Full Body Jumpsuits, as of now we have three models, have been tested by role models, such as moms, sisters, lawyers, musicians, dancers, and doctors. Most importantly, it has been tested by Pilates instructors. Those industry leaders, have also helped us co create the upcoming design, that is yet to be launched later this year.

At Pebbles Pilates we acknowledge the differences in body types and shapes, and work with both material and design that follows the female body in motion. So that you can stay fully present in your workout. After all, when you do put down some time and money into a workout, you don’t want to get side tracked by clothes that you have to drag into place, taking focus from your hour of “you time”.

The BCYB jumpsuit is made in a seamless design. Working with seamless design requires some tech insight in how to computerize the design so that you limit the number of seams, but also minimize material waste. We have still much to learn when it comes to the production within the fashion industry, where tech, design and comfort has to work seamlessly.
