1. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE MOTTO?
Let your intuition guide you.
2. WHAT ARE YOU EXTRA CURIOUS ABOUT RIGHT NOW?
Ortho-bionomy is a curiosity of mine. I’m using this interest as an inspiration for another level of understanding about the human body.
3. WHAT IS A BEAUTIFUL BODY TO YOU?
I especially see beauty through bone rhythms. They affect how we sit, stand, walk, move… everything. I love realizing the intelligence of the human body over and over again.
4. WHAT IS PILATES TO YOU?
To me Pilates is about connection. All of the Pilates Principles flow from connection. Finding a connection to our body leads to wonderful potential in movement.
5. WHAT IS THE PERFECT PILATES OUTFIT?
I really like to mix it up. I love to wear whatever makes me feel empowered that day.
6. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PILATES MOVES?
I love the reformer! It’s tough to choose, but I love long stretch series.
7. IN YOUR OPINION, WHY IS PILATES SUCH A GOOD WORKOUT?
I think it’s a wonderful workout because we’re not isolating the use of the body during these exercises. We feel the inner tensegrity of the body supporting us as we also use muscle fibers in multiple directions. Also the mental challenge of multiple tasks is so good for the brain. And we can’t forget about all the delicious breathing. It truly is invigorating.
8. WHAT CAN ONE EXPECT WHEN ATTENDING YOUR STUDIO?
While working with clients I offer them a balanced and flowing experience based on their desired challenge or therapeutic needs. Some clients have said they learn more in their first session and discovered they have much more potential then they believed. I love seeing them in this new awareness of themselves. Everyone will be welcomed, set at ease, learn the work, and find what it is that they love about Pilates.
9. WHAT IS POWER TO YOU?
Power is something I feel when I see other people experience their potential. When they are in their power the sense of it is tangible.
10. ANY UPCOMING PILATES EVENTS?
Private and Duet sessions are always open! 10/27/19 I am hosting a Smart Spine Wellness System Education event at my location in Seattle. 12/7/19 I will be teaching in Indian Wells, California at ARA Pilates & Movement. The workshop I am offering is my own approach to Scoliosis with Pilates.
