In Conversation with Pilates Instructor Jaime White
I had the great pleasure of having a chat with the amazing Teacher Trainer Jaime White, about life in Stockholm, Pilates and what she can't be without in life. Enjoy!
Meet Jaime White, co-founder of Pure Body Teacher Training:
The best thing about living in Stockholm is...
the fact that the city is a mix of nature and city and it has a lot of what NYC has but it is clean, manageable and more beautiful.
My favorite Pilates studio in Stockholm is...
Tim's Pilates in Östermalm on Tysta Gatan. It is beautiful, and the apparatus is the best I have found in Stockholm and it has a very chill vibe. Great Pilates happens there and I am proud and honored to share the space.
My first Pilates experience was...
a Pilates/Yoga class at a gym in Florida over 25 years ago.
A Pilates machine I can not be without is...
the Wunda Chair. I only like the classical ones because I prefer the dimensions best.
My secret to keeping up with my Pilates routine...
has actually been a bit of a struggle in the past year. When you have infant twins and work, you just have to schedule the time for yourself to be in the studio.
The best thing about Pilates is...
that it is for everyone, literally everyone. The method is for post-rehab to professional athletes. There is so much you can do and it helps improve your life.
My dream client is...
working with professional athletes and Pilates teachers. With athletes, I know that the Pilates they do directly impacts their performance as well as can increase the longevity of their career.
I also love working with teachers because I have been lucky to train with some of the best Pilates experts in the world when I was living in NYC and love to share that information as it has helped me help so many of my own clients.

My go to Pilates move is...
Chest Expansion, sooo simple but such a great way to feel your best posture and teaser because it makes you feel strong and fluid.
The best Pilates sportswear is...
Pebbles of course!!! I also love a good cotton breathable tank.
A studio I would love to visit soon is...
Brooke Siler's studio :) She has influenced me so much and Kathi Ross Nash studio - the Ranch
The first thing I do after a Pilates session is...
drink water and usually go grab a juice, avocado toast and coffee.
Something you are extra curious about in your practice right now?
I am repeating Kathi Ross Nash's Advanced Teacher training for the second time and seeing more connections again within the work. I love the Pilates system and this type of in-depth work just re inspires me to Pilates.
I always prepare for a Pilates session by...
walking or running to the studio, or listen to my shamans audio book, it just helps me clear my mind so I can focus on me.
Typical for my Pilates is...
that I deliver a challenging workout for sure but I also always work with the client in what is best for their body and what they need. I am also always working towards progression in their ability. I want to impact their life in a positive way outside of Pilates.
My feeling after a workout is always...
good and alive
A book that everyone should read is...
The Seat of your Soul by Gary Zukov
When times get tough I tell myself...
Nothing is permanent, life is always changing.
One thing I can't be without, in life is...
my girls. I had twins three years ago and I really cannot imagine life without them.
The most important thing I've learned in life so far is...
that nothing is permanent, do not take anything for granted. Even your challenges will not always be there.
If you want to get in contact with me...
